The Horizon Europe-funded GEMSTONE Project is pleased to announce a two-day dissemination event aimed at sharing key insights, lessons learned, and best practices in establishing research capacity for chemogenetic experiments. This event will provide a hands-on and practical perspective, combining empirical learning with strategic research management.
Event title: How to Develop Your Research Capacity for Chemogenetic Experiments from Scratch: Disseminating the Impact of GEMSTONE Project at Acibadem University
Date and location: Tuesday-Wedneday, 17-18 June 2025, Acibadem Mehmet Ali Aydinlar University (ACU), Kerem Aydinlar Campus, Istanbul, Turkey
Event overview
Participants will gain valuable knowledge in team management, infrastructure planning, time and financial management, and data handling. The event will also highlight GEMSTONE’s scientific achievements in neurodevelopmental disease research, providing a roadmap for other institutions seeking to build similar capacities.
This event will serve as a platform for researchers to exchange experiences, network, and collaborate within the regional neuroscience community. We especially encourage participation from Widening countries, including the Balkans, Georgia, and Turkey.
Who should apply?
We invite applications from early to mid-career researchers and research support staff from neuroscience institutions who are interested in developing or enhancing their capacity to conduct chemogenetic experiments. The event is ideal for individuals focusing on neurodevelopmental disorders such as Parkinson’s disease and epilepsy.
