CALL FOR POSTER PRESENTATIONS
GEMSTONE Project First Dissemination Event: Regional Symposium on Neurodevelopmental Aspects of Brain Disorders and Genetically Engineered Models

We are pleased to announce the call for poster presentations for the GEMSTONE Project's First Dissemination Event: Regional Symposium. This symposium aims to bring together early-career researchers working in the field of neurodevelopmental aspects of brain disorders and genetically engineered models.
The symposium provides a platform for researchers to share their work, exchange knowledge, and foster collaborations in the field of neuroscience. We invite researchers from various disciplines to submit abstracts for poster presentations. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your research, receive valuable feedback, and network with experts in the field
Two selected presenters’ travel, accommodation, and subsistence cost will be supported by GEMSTONE Project.
We welcome submissions related to the following areas (but not limited to):
- Neurodevelopmental disorders
- Genetically engineered animal models
- Brain development and function
- Molecular mechanisms underlying neurodevelopmental disorders
- Behavioral and cognitive aspects of brain disorders
- Therapeutic strategies and interventions
Target group
Early-career researchers, including postdoctoral fellows, PhD candidates, and research associates, are encouraged to submit their work for consideration. We aim to provide a platform for emerging researchers to present their findings and engage in scientific discussions.
We support the young researchers from Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and all associated countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and also Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Turkey, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, Morocco, Tunisia, Ukraine, Faroe Islands).
Submission guidelines
- Abstracts should be submitted via email to sinem.bagce@acibadem.edu.tr.
- No later than 20 September 2023.
- Selected presenters will be announced on 22 September 2023.
- The abstract should be written in English and be limited to 300 words.
- To register, please fill out the registration form.
- Clearly indicate the title, authors, affiliations, and contact information.
- Include keywords relevant to the research topic.
- State the objective, methodology, results, and conclusions of the study.
- Please use the abstract template.
Poster presentation format
- Accepted presenters will be allocated a dedicated time slot to present their posters.
- Posters should be in a portrait orientation with dimensions of 90" x 120".
- Presenters are responsible for printing and bringing their posters to the symposium.
- Additional instructions regarding poster format and presentation guidelines will be provided to accepted presenters.
Please note that due to limited space, only a limited number of poster presentations can be accepted. The selection will be based on the quality, relevance, and alignment with the symposium theme.
