As part of our ongoing commitment to advancing neuroscience research, we hosted a seminar titled "Gene Regulatory Approaches for Retinal Gene Therapies" on 30 April 2024 at Acibadem University.
The seminar was conducted by Dr. Cavit Agca, an expert in visual systems and molecular mechanisms, whose contributions to the field have been significant. Dr. Agca obtained his PhD from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center and has since conducted pioneering research at leading institutions worldwide.
During the seminar, Dr. Agca shared insights from his extensive research journey, which has spanned evolutionary perspectives of vision to novel retinal gene therapy approaches targeting conditions such as autosomal dominant optic atrophy (ADOA). His extensive knowledge and experience provided valuable insights into the cutting-edge techniques that will shape the future of retinal therapies.
