As part of the ongoing capacity-building efforts within the Horizon Europe-funded GEMSTONE Project, Acibadem Mehmet Ali Aydinlar University (ACU) is pleased to announce an upcoming knowledge transfer workshop led by Ayca Aydemir Mazlumoglu, Library and Electronic Resources Director at ACU.
The seminar, titled "GEMSTONE Project Experiences in Research Support: Best Practices from Lund University Library," will take place on Thursday, 20 March 2025, at 14:00 in Room B201, ACU Kerem Aydinlar Campus, Istanbul.
Ms. Aydemir Mazlumoglu recently completed a short-term visit to GEMSTONE's project partner, Lund University (ULUND) in Sweden. During her time at ULUND, she immersed herself in advanced open science management practices and explored innovative strategies to improve accessibility and collaboration in research. Now, she is bringing this invaluable knowledge back to ACU to share with faculty, researchers, and research support professionals.
The seminar will provide an in-depth look at best practices from ULUND Library, focusing on open science frameworks, research data management, and strategies to enhance institutional research support services. By fostering knowledge exchange and collaboration, GEMSTONE aims to strengthen ACU's research infrastructure, ultimately improving global competitiveness.
The seminar represents an essential step in ACU's mission to integrate global best practices in research management and support. The insights gained from ULUND will serve as a foundation for developing more effective research policies and facilitating greater academic cooperation within and beyond the GEMSTONE network.
We invite all ACU faculty members, researchers, and research support staff to participate in this enriching session.
