The GEMSTONE Project, which aims to advance Acibadem University's (ACU) scientific research and innovative capacity in strategic areas of gene engineering technologies and neuroscience with focus on the neurodevelopmental aspects of brain disorders, such as Parkinson’s disease and epilepsy, recently collaborated with its partner, Lund University's (ULUND) Research Support Services to enhance organizational capacity and knowledge transfer.
The meeting was led by Rickard Eksten, Research Funding Advisor, Research Services, with staff from ULUND, such as Fariba Vaziri-Sani, Project Manager, ULUND Cooperation Office and Per Mercke, Patent Advisor, ULUND Innovation presenting their services to the GEMSTONE Project's Technology Transfer Office (ACU) staff. The virtual meeting, which took place on 9 March 2023 provided an opportunity for both teams to share insights and best practices in research support services.
Under the GEMSTONE Project's Work Package 4 (Organizational capacity to support research), the teams came together to improve capacity and knowledge transfer. They discussed various topics, including research data management, intellectual property rights, and funding opportunities.
"We greatly appreciate the opportunity to collaborate with ULUND Research Support Services," said Eda Tanoglu, the TTO Manager of ACU. "This meeting has helped us to enhance our organizational capacity and identify areas for improvement in our research support services."
As GEMSTONE, we thank everyone who attended. See all our capacity-building activities here.
