We are delighted to share the successful short visit of Dr. Elif Nedret Keskinoz to Lund University (ULUND) as a significant milestone in the GEMSTONE Project. We are pleased to present the successful visit of Aslı Onder Gul and Dr. Samed Ozer from the Acibadem University's (ACU) Laboratory Animals Application and Research Center (DEHAM) to ULUND as an integral part of the GEMSTONE Project. Their focus on Task 3.2, including mouse IVF procedures and the establishment of a database platform, demonstrates their dedication to advancing the project's objectives. The collaboration with Thomas Blom, Linda Wei, and Sara Andersson further exemplifies the commitment to shared knowledge and expertise. Moreover, we are excited to announce that Dr. Tugba Eryigit, one of our esteemed researchers, recently participated in the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Program at ULUND. This valuable opportunity allowed our team to engage in a deep collaborative research endeavor during the same week.
GEMSTONE researcher Dr. Elif Nedret Keskinoz recently completed her short visit to ULUND from 21 to 28 May 2023. She was supervised by Prof. Deniz Kirik during her stay and focused on our project's Task 3.2, specifically correlative electron microscopy. She dedicated her efforts to successfully carrying out Task 3.2, honing her skills in correlative electron microscopy and gaining valuable insights.
It is gratifying to learn that her primary objective was to gain practical experience and training in order to successfully complete Task 3.2. Furthermore, the fact that her supervisor at ULUND, Prof. Kirik, provided guidance and collaborated in planning the experiments is commendable.
During the same dates, the key staff of the ACU DEHAM, Biologist Aslı Onder Gul and Manager Dr. Samed Ozer, also visited ULUND. Their visit was focused on Task 3.2, which involved mouse in vitro fertilization procedures and the acquisition of a database platform for transgenic animal management. They collaborated with Thomas Blom, Linda Wei, and Sara Andersson during their visit.
Dr. Tugba Eryigit's presence at ULUND further strengthens the bond between our team and the prestigious institution. The shared knowledge and expertise exchanged during this collaborative effort will undoubtedly contribute to the advancement of the GEMSTONE Project.
We applaud the commitment and dedication of our team members as they actively engage in collaborative research activities, fostering a vibrant environment for scientific excellence in neuroscience.
