Our mid-term review meeting of the GEMSTONE Project, supported by the Horizon Europe program under the call Horizon-Widera-2021-Access-03 Twinning projects, was a pivotal moment in our journey.
Under the leadership of Prof. Filiz Onat, our review meeting included our partners from Lund University (ULUND): Prof. Dr Deniz Kirik and Assoc. Prof. My Andersson. They were joined by our dedicated team from Acibadem Mehmet Ali Aydinlar University (ACU), comprising of Assoc. Prof. Nihan Carcak Yilmaz, Assoc. Prof. Meltem Kolgazi, Assoc. Prof. Melike Sahiner, Prof. Beki Kan, Prof. Eda Tahir Turanli, and Assoc. Prof. Levent Altintas. The meeting was also attended by Serena Cogoni, our partner from Fondazione ICONS.
During the extensive 6-hour session, we were proud to present our progress and achievements to Mr. Christopher Niehaus, representing the European Research Executive Agency (REA), and Prof. Harold Cremer from the Institut de Biologie du Developpement de Marseille. Their insightful feedback and constructive discussions underlined the importance of our efforts. We delved into every aspect of our scientific and capacity-building activities, highlighting our successes, addressing challenges and charting a course for the future.
The recognition and praise we received from Mr. Niehaus and Prof. Cremer are a testament to the dedication and excellence of our team at GEMSTONE.
Stay tuned as we continue our mission to push the boundaries of neuroscience research!
