The GEMSTONE Project is pleased to announce an intensive three-day soft skills training titled “Mastering Horizon Europe: A Practical Training for the Successful Participation of ACU Researchers,” taking place from 21 to 23 May 2025 at Kerem Aydinlar Campus, TTO Seminar Room (B7).
This interactive training is designed to equip researchers with the practical skills and knowledge needed to successfully navigate Horizon Europe funding opportunities. Over three days, participants will:
- Gain a clear understanding of Horizon Europe’s structure, including key Work Programmes such as Health, Mission Cancer, ERC, MSCA, and WIDERA, and learn how to align their research ideas with these opportunities.
- Develop actionable strategies for consortium building, including how to identify and approach potential partners or coordinators, and leverage networking tools and brokerage events effectively.
- Master the application process, from writing competitive proposals to fulfilling administrative and technical roles, whether as a coordinator or a partner.
- Engage in hands-on exercises, such as matching projects to Work Programmes, simulating networking scenarios, and crafting concept notes, to apply their learning in real-world contexts.
Agenda highlights
Led by Serena Cogoni, senior project expert at Fondazione ICONS and Local Principal Investigator in the GEMSTONE Project, the training will cover a wide range of topics:
